These Terms and Conditions explain how I work with my clients and what you can expect when attending Solution Focused Hypnotherapy with me.

Please read these Terms and Conditions alongside my Privacy Notice (GDPR), which explains how your personal information is collected, stored and protected.

Working Together

My aim is to provide a professional, respectful and supportive environment where we can work collaboratively towards your preferred future.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. Your commitment and participation are an important part of therapy. This may include attending sessions regularly, listening to the relaxation audio provided and being open to noticing positive changes and progress between sessions.

I cannot guarantee a particular outcome or result, as everyone responds differently and progress can vary from person to person.
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), and I work in accordance with their professional and ethical standards.

Medical Information

I am not medically trained and do not diagnose medical conditions. Hypnotherapy should not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment provided by your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

If you are concerned about your health, specific symptoms or whether hypnotherapy is suitable for you, you should seek advice from your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Session Duration

Hypnotherapy sessions generally last approximately 50 to 60 minutes.
Please allow up to one hour for your appointment.
If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened to avoid affecting the next client’s appointment. The full session fee will still apply.

Fees and Payment

The current fee for a standard hypnotherapy session is £80.
Payment is due on the day of your appointment.
Payment can be made by card or another agreed payment method.
A receipt or invoice can be provided on request.
Current fees will always be available on my website. I reserve the right to review my fees in the future. Any changes will be communicated clearly and will not affect sessions already paid for.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise.
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please provide more than 24 hours’ notice wherever possible.
If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the full session fee may remain payable, unless there are exceptional circumstances. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Non-Attendance

If you do not attend an appointment and have not contacted me to cancel or rearrange it, the full session fee will remain payable.
Any outstanding payment may need to be settled before another appointment can be booked.

Contact Between Sessions

Contact between sessions should generally be limited to matters relating to appointments or other practical arrangements.
I may not always be able to respond immediately, particularly when I am working with clients. I aim to respond to messages within 24 hours during my normal working days.
Hypnotherapy is not an emergency or crisis service.

Online Sessions

Online sessions may be provided using an agreed video platform.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable internet connection and a private, safe and comfortable space where you will not be disturbed during your session.
If a session is disrupted by technical difficulties, I will make reasonable efforts to reconnect or agree an appropriate way forward.
For clients living outside the UK, my practice is based in Scotland and operates under Scottish law. Any legal matters relating to my services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Recording of Sessions

Audio, video, screen recording, photography or any other form of recording of hypnotherapy sessions is not permitted without my prior written consent.
This applies to both in-person and online sessions, including sessions conducted by Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp or any other communication platform.
Unauthorised recording of a session may result in therapy being brought to an end.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Your privacy and confidentiality are very important to me.
Full details about confidentiality, the storage of your information and circumstances where information may need to be shared are explained in my Privacy Notice.
These Terms and Conditions should therefore be read alongside my Privacy Notice.

Ending Therapy

You are free to end therapy at any time.
I may also suggest pausing or ending our work if I believe hypnotherapy is no longer appropriate, is outside my professional competence or another form of support may be more suitable.
Where appropriate, I will discuss this with you openly and sensitively.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be reviewed and updated from time to time.

The most current version will be available on my website.
