About me

I chose to train in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy at the Clifton Practice in Edinburgh to support a family member through a particularly challenging time in their life. They had tried other therapies but found that focusing on the past and revisiting difficult experiences was overwhelming.

I wanted to find an approach that felt more positive, supportive, and forward-looking, so I began researching different types of hypnotherapy. While I explored several courses, none of them felt quite right.

When I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I knew I had found exactly what I had been searching for. What appealed to me most was its gentle, practical approach. Rather than dwelling on past problems, it focuses on building on your strengths, recognising your progress, and helping you move towards the future you want to create.

During my training, I had the privilege of seeing the positive changes my case study clients were making. Watching their confidence grow and seeing them achieve meaningful improvements confirmed that this was the path I wanted to follow. It became far more than a qualification; it became a meaningful new direction and an opportunity to help people help themselves.

I have also learned that Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can work well alongside other therapies and professional support, complementing the care and support a person may already be receiving.

Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent many years working in a nursery and later in a health care settings, supporting people across a wide range of ages and circumstances. These experiences have helped shape my calm, compassionate, and understanding approach.

I now look forward to welcoming you, supporting you in making positive changes, building confidence, and moving towards the future you would like to create.
